Ideate Innovations Limited is a Tech4Good digital social enterprise seeking to provide digital solutions to end poverty, inequality and isolation in Zambia through creation of digital tools that are people centered and user-friendly.

Our flagship product is called #LetsDoGood - a mobile app and webapp which enable neighbourhoods to connect through sharing things like food, clothing, household items and capital for small businesses. Software Engineering Consultant - Job Description

Responsibilities for consultant
  • Experience with Digital Ocean architectures, development, and deployment
  • Help improve the team through strong feedback, explanations, assistance, training with follow-up
  • Design reporting solutions and present a mock-up of the expected reporting output for review and approval
  • Analyze, design, develop/code, test, modify, implement and support programs or systems, including in-house developed or purchased applications
  • Work As a facilitator to help the team resolve issues and make improvements to its use of Scrum

  • Take ownership of the products you are building and understand the needs of end users
  • Ensure that platform capacity and availability exceed requirements
  • Review of function and technical specifications for potential performance issues
  • Review of program code to identify potential performance issues
  • Work with the performance team to review system use cases and functional specifications with the appropriate business analyst
Qualifications for consultant, software engineering
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing continuous integration and delivery techniques
  • Knowledge of Rest API
  • Be familiar with popular development technologies of web front end like JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, CSS3, Html, Html5
  • Be familiar with popular JS framework like, Bootstrap, React, Node.js
  • Firebase , MySql or PostGres
  • Flutter
  • Subversion/Git Source Control
